Enjoy an outdoor concert like The Roots Picnic. Take part in an annual Philly tradition by hitting up The Roots Picnic on June 1. This special music event featuring Philadelphia hip-hop icons has become one of the city’s summer staples. This year’s event features some of the hottest names in hip hop including H.E.R., 21 Savage and City Girls, among many others. Tickets are $89.50 and are available for purchase here. The Roots Picnic will take place at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, a 10-minute drive from Vue32.

 

Spend an Evening Outdoors

Spend an evening taking in the beauty of the city at the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival! The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is a unique celebration of Chinese culture and beautiful lights. This year, the festival features 29 new giant lantern displays. Tickets range in price from $12 to $20 and are available for purchase here. The festival is open from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. May 1-June 30. In addition to the sprawling light displays, you can also experience delicious Asian and American cuisine, performances, and Chinese folk artists. This rich cultural experience will take place at Franklin Square, a 12-minute drive from Vue32.
