4 Places to Eat Before the Philadelphia Wings Game

February 20th, 2019

It’s Wings season at Vue32! This coming month, you can catch our beloved local lacrosse team, the Philadelphia Wings, at the Wells Fargo Center on Mar. 8 and Mar. 23 where they’ll face off against the Buffalo Bandits and New England Blackwolves. Before you head to the game, fuel up at one of these Philadelphia restaurants near the Wells Fargo Center.

Chickie’s & Pete’s

This sports bar is the perfect way to kick off your night of cheering on the Wings! Indulge in their famous crab-based dishes for something truly delicious. Consider the crab bruschetta pizza and the fan favorite crabfries. Chickie’s & Pete’s is a one-minute walk from the Wells Fargo Center.

Popi’s Italian Restaurant

Looking to really chow down before the game? Stop by Popi’s Italian Restaurant for the best Italian fare in the area. Grab something from the seasonal menu like the veal osso bucco, a slow-cooked dish with plenty of veggies and a mouth-watering glaze finish. Popi’s Italian Restaurant is a four-minute drive from the Wells Fargo Center.

Celebre’s Pizza

Nothing puts you more in the mood for a good game of lacrosse quite like a specialty pizza can. Head to Celebre’s for a classic game day meal. Go the more traditional route with a tasty cheese or try a more adventurous option like the BBQ chicken pizza. Celebre’s Pizza is an eight-minute drive from the Wells Fargo Center.

1100 Social

1100 Social has that great sports bar atmosphere that we all love to be in before a game. Here, you can order up the best of Mexican and Asian cuisine. Pro tip: be sure to try the Korean meatballs. You won’t regret it. 1100 Social is a seven-minute walk from the Wells Fargo Center.

We’re proud that some of our Wings players call Vue32 home! Go Wings! Where will you grab food before the next Philadelphia Wings game?
