The sun is shining and outdoor festival season is gearing up. June is packed with fun festivals for a variety of interests. Living at Vue32 lets you be in the heart of it all. Whether you enjoy art, music, craft beer or culture, you’re sure to be entertained at these festivals near UCity.
Watch Franklin Square light up with handcrafted lanterns made by artisans in China. While enjoying the lanterns, dive into Chinese culture with entertainment, a beer garden, Asian fare and more. Don’t miss one of the most popular outdoor events in UCity. This free event only happens one Saturday a month from May to September. Catch this month’s series on June 23rd. The featured act will be Thee Phantom & the Illharmonic Orchestra, a live orchestra that blends hip-hop and dance into their performance. Opening the show is the all women’s group, Tyva Kyzy, performing the ancient art of throat-singing. You can get here in less than 10 minutes via bike or car from Vue32.
Grab your tickets for the Summer Ale Festival at the Philadelphia Zoo on June 23rd. Sample local beers from more than 150 vendors while listening to music and eating from local food trucks. There’s also meet and greet opportunities with the zoo animals. You won’t want to miss this fun evening at the zoo, just five minutes from Vue32.
Browse through handmade goods from national and local artists at this two-day art festival. You’ll find several varieties of art forms, including photography, jewelry and ceramics. This event is free to the public and will have plenty of food and drink options available for purchase. Don’t miss “one of the largest outdoor art festivals in the Delaware Valley” on June 23-24. Vue32 is just a 15 minute drive to Manayunk.
