2017 St. Patrick’s Day Activities in Philadelphia

Philadelphia has a plethora of activities going on around St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you are looking for family friendly activities or can’t wait to get your hands on some green beer, we found events around town perfect for you!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day parade is one of the largest and longest running in America, since 1771 to be exact. This year will not disappoint! Parade goers can expect to see bagpipes, Irish dancers, marching bands and much more. This year’s theme is “St. Patrick, Protect and Guide Our Police Officers.”

Be a part of a Philly tradition March 12th from noon to 3pm. If you have to miss it there will be an encore showing on Fox29 March 17th at noon.

Bar Crawls and Events

There will be plenty of bar crawls and parties hosted at bars throughout Philly. Although there are other great bar crawls, we had to highlight a Philly tradition, the Erin Express. Honestly, who can pass a free bar crawl? This 30 year tradition is one you don’t want to miss. So grab your friends and get ready to party this St. Patrick’s Day!

Fado Irish Pub is hosting a huge party March 17th. Put on all your green gear and head down bright and early for a great event!

Concerts

The Paddypalooza 2017 is one of the biggest tent parties in Philly for St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy Jamison Celtic Rock under a heated tent.

Head over the Xfinity Live! Philadelphia for live music, green beer, Irish car bombs, Jameson and a balloon drop at midnight!

Family-Friendly

Dust off your running shoes and join the Leprechaun Run on MLK Drive. Whether you choose to run 5 miles or walk 2 miles, all proceeds will go to Special Olympics Philadelphia Athletes (SOPA).

Who says you need to drink to party, at the Sober St. Patrick’s Day you and your family can celebrate this Irish holiday without a drop of alcohol. Enjoy food, live music, Irish dancers and more!

How will you be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this year?
